Name Webpage capture on the news article about Zhen Tai garment factory workers claim non-payment of April wages
Description

The article addresses a dispute between Zhen Tai garment factory workers and the employer regarding unpaid wages and bonuses during the COVID-19 lockdown. Around 1,700 garment factory workers submitted a petition to demand that their employer pay them a portion of their monthly wages and their Khmer New Year holiday bonus for the lockdown period when they could not work. The workers said they were paid less than 50 per cent of their total salaries for the first two weeks of April, against the Ministry of Labor’s advice. The president of the Cambodian Workers’ Spirit Union said workers received only $100 for their work in the first two weeks of April. He added that the workers had warned the factory that they would protest by boycotting overtime work.
