Name Webpage capture on the news article of garment workers protest unpaid April wages
Description

This webpage capture shows about the workers began protesting on May 11 to demand that the company pay wages due for April 1 to 17. After this date, the factory suspended operations, so workers were also demanding their suspension allowance. On May 15, the owner tried to remove items and equipment from the factory at around 10pm, but was blocked by workers. Workers then began permanently guarding the factory to prevent the factory owner removing equipment, which could be used to pay their wages. The factory promised to pay half the wages on May 25 and the other half on June 2. Workers said they would guard the factory until they were paid.
