Prakas no. 5731/0726 on the establishment of the "Veal Veng Lake" mountain crocodile habitat and genetic resource conservation area

This Prakas establishes the mountain crocodile genetic resource and habitat conservation area "Boeung Veal Veng", covering 315.11 hectares in O'Som Commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province, within the Cardamom Mountains National Park. The conservation area was established to protect and conserve the mountain crocodile, its habitats and nesting sites, while supporting scientific research, raising public awareness, encouraging community participation in conservation efforts, and promoting the sustainable preservation and recovery of the species' genetic resources.
