Royal Decree on the establishment of the National Committee for the Implementation of the Forest Protection and Land Grant Programme for Sustainable Development

The establishment aims to provide social land concessions to poor, landless people, enabling them to build houses and create family farms that will support community development projects and help protect nearby forests sustainably. The National Committee is responsible for determining and formulating policies, as well as selecting land for inclusion in the forest protection and land allocation program for joint sustainable development. The committee has authority to cancel decisions, amend land use plans, divide land, and confiscate land from individuals who fail to meet possession and land use conditions. According to the Royal Decree, Prime Minister Hun Manet will lead the National Committee, which includes 11 deputy chairmen and 27 ministers from various ministries, with provisions for adding members as needed.
