Indigenous people are estimated to be the traditional managers of around 22% , 4 million hectares of Cambodia’s forest lands and ecosystems and have been responsible for preserving environmental conditions for many other parts of the country. This document is the Cambodian Indigenous community’s submission to the Asia preparatory meeting for the United Nations Permanent forum on Indigenous issues held in Nepal, February, 2008.
