ASEAN action plan on joint response to climate change

The ASEAN Leaders’ Statement on Joint Response to Climate Change (adopted 9 April 2010) recognized that the Southeast Asian region is vulnerable to climate change. In reference to this Statement, the ASEAN Action Plan on Joint Response to Climate Change was adopted in 2012. It outlines strategic objectives and a programme of action for addressing climate change in the region, including initiatives for adaptation, mitigation, finance and investment, technology transfer, capacity building and other matters of regional cooperation.
