The outcome was on September 4, workers agreed to return to work on September 7 even though their demand of reinstating two fired unionists remained unmet. Authorities requested the union suspend the strike whilst waiting for the Minister of Labor to make a decision on their appeal. On September 12, the Ministry of Labor upheld the firings.
