The Koh Krabey Resort Development Project is divided into 5 main projects, including - The first area development project for the construction of a natural recreation house with a total area of 7.5 hectares.  - The second area development project includes a restaurant with a bar, a shared swimming pool, a spa/gym, a library/arts venue/performance venue, a flower garden, and a reception area (guest arrival) with a total area of 1 hectare.  - The third zone development project is organized as a tourist port/port for technical equipment/technical facilities, staff accommodation, and police or security headquarters with a total area of 1.5 hectares.  - The fourth zone development project is designed to provide information on ports and car parks with a total area of 1,000 square meters.  - The 5th Zone Development Project will be organized as a reception area for supplies, warehouses, engineering workshops, canoe repair workshops, human resource offices, staff training rooms, accounting offices, parking lots/motorbikes of staff, and fuel storage room for boats with a total area of 500 square meters.

Training summary

This training company will pay all the entire cost. The company owner provided the additional courses of training to the employees, including the following: - Training knowledge on techniques for using or controlling all kinds of machinery during the construction and operation of the project.  - Training knowledge on safety protection while working on the project and educating workers to wear health protection equipment while working.  - Training and dissemination of laws and regulations  - Training and education on methods to prevent various epidemics, especially AIDS. - Training and education on how to help protect the environment in and around the project area and knowledge of inspections related to environmental management plans.  - Train workers in solid-liquid management during construction, project implementation, and project completion. - Train staff and workers to love the forest; prohibit deforestation. - Train and educate staff not to cause activities that could affect fisheries and coral reefs around the island. - Training on how to swim and rescue someone is drowned.

Environmental protection obligation

The Company has taken measures to mitigate a number of environmental impacts such as: forest resources, wildlife, air pollution, noise disturbances, groundwater and groundwater quality, public health and well-being, and the Company has divided it into three phases: pre-project execution, during execution and post-project completion.

Socio-cultural protection

The project will provide social and environmental benefits such as:  1) For people to get jobs, trade more than before, and build infrastructure;  2) For the national society, the state receives money from paying taxes, receives money for environmental and social protection, and promotes the domestic tourism sector.

Fiscal duties summary
  • For state tax, companies investing in Koh Krabey are required to pay 3% (3%) of gross income annually (from 1 to 15 January next year). 
  • In the case of calculating the rate of gross income less than the calculation of the minimum wage, the company will be required to pay a minimum wage tax of $ 8,400 per year and will increase by $ 1,050 every five years until the end of the contract.
