Cambodia economic update: Restrained recovery

This report focuses on adapting to COVID-19 in an uncertain world. The COVID-19 pandemic has abruptly interrupted Cambodia’s celebrated growth story. The country had averaged 7.7 percent real growth rate during the last two decades. In contrast, in 2020, Cambodia’s economy is likely to contract by 2 percent, plunging the economy into a recession for the first time in three decades.
