World Bank Myanmar Monitoring Platform: Communities & Basic Services

Since March 2020, the World Bank has conducted interviews with respondents in rural areas (covering 12 out of the 14 states and regions in Myanmar) to obtain qualitative data on how communities are experiencing and responding to the changing situation. The monitoring focuses on the challenges rural communities face in accessing basic services including health, education, and water and sanitation. It also assesses the impacts of recent developments on livelihoods, safety and security, social relations and access to development assistance at the village level.
