Land cover 2013 is the version 3 in the series of land cover analyse of GLCNMO (The Global Land Cover by National Mapping Organizations) products. The data covers whole globe. The whole data is divided into 4 tiles. The size of a tile is 90 degrees in latitude and 180 degrees in longitude, that is, 21,600 pixels by 43,200 pixels with 15 second resolution. The scope of Vietnam is the tile gm_lc_v3_1_2.zip. Land cover 2013 is a product of GLCNMO in raster format which classifies the status of land cover of the whole globe into 20 categories. Vietnam includes 18 categories. They include Broadleaf Evergreen Forest, Broadleaf Deciduous Forest, Needleleaf Evergreen Forest, Needleleaf Deciduous Forest, Mixed Forest, Tree Open, Shrub, Herbaceous, Sparse vegetation, Cropland, Paddy Field, Cropland / Other Vegetation Mosaic, Mangrove, Wetland, Bare area consolidated (gravel, rock), Bare area unconsolidated (sand), Urban, Water bodies.The data is established in the WGS 84 coordinate system with degree unit and based on MODIS data 2013 (Terra & Aqua).
