A brief introducing the new species identified in the Greater Mekong Region in 2014. An incredible 139 new species were discovered, including 90 plants, 23 reptiles, 16 amphibians, nine fish, and one mammal. The brief features several including a “dementor” wasp, a color-changing thorny frog, a wolf snake, a gecko, a bat with remarkable fangs, a new crocodile newt, a feathered coral, four Thai “Princess” moths, the world’s second-longest insect, and two orchids discovered through the wildlife trade.
