Old, new and potential economic corridors in the Mekong region (book chapter)

Chapter one of the book "Emerging economic corridors in the Mekong region" (full book listed as a separate item). This chapter first reviews the history of prioritised transport projects and economic corridors; then introduces the corridors and regions explored in later chapters and their respective challenges. Finally, in this chapter the author simulates the economic impacts of the improvement of the corridors on all of the provinces in the East Asia region.
