The economic, social and environmental impacts of greening the industrial sector in Cambodia

This report was developed within the Policy Alignment for Green Growth 2017–18 program, coordinated by the Program Working Group, which included the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD), the Supreme National Economic Council (SNEC), the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Ministry of Planning (MoP), and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). As indicated in the Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015–2025, the industrial sector is at a crossroads. This study provides evidence on the economic and social benefits of greening Cambodia's industrial sector. It examines benefits at both the firm level and at the economy-wide level. The report aims to inform the development of green growth priorities in the next phase (2019–2023) of Cambodia's national policy and investment plan, the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP).
