Vietnam committed working with the international community to respond to climate change

By 2030, with domestic resources, Viet Nam committed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 8% compared to conventional development scenarios and could reduce it by 25% if receiving international aid. At the same time, Viet Nam will implement many adaptation activities to increase its resistance to climate change, facilitating more contribution in reducing GHG emissions. This is the commitment made in the Report on Indigenous Peoples' Independence (INDC) submitted by Viet Nam to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
