Wastewater system operation and maintenance guideline

A general lack of wastewater management planning and various facilities has resulted in the direct discharge of untreated wastewater into the environment, causing environmental pollution and serious health hazards. Therefore, the wastewater sector is considered a high-priority sector by the Royal Government of Cambodia, as stipulated in the Rectangular Strategy Phase IV of the Royal Government of the 6th Legislature of the National Assembly. It is essential that operators possess clear technical skills and receive adequate training, and that government officials are responsible for managing the processes of operation, maintenance, repair, inspection, and monitoring of the wastewater treatment system's operations and infrastructure.
